Squirian is a Light-type creo, stout and a natural fighter.
Like Armight, Squirian are believed to be spirit creo that took a warrior's form to honor the fallen. Squirian are the young spirits, though, and they live to serve Armight until their own time comes to train with a specialized weapon.
Squirian can take eight different evolutions, each wielding a different weapon.
Squirian communities cluster around human civilization, and the young are often sent off to be trained by the Armight who defend human villages and cities. Young Squirian can be quarrelsome, so they have to be taught to aim their warrior spirit at worthier causes.
Biology
Squirian's armor is lighter than an Armight's, which makes it the more nimble of the two in a fight. Its beady blue eyes are sharp and discerning, so it makes a good scout as well as a fighter, and every soldier proudly wears a crimson ponytail at the crown of its head.
Squirian's sword is extremely light in more ways than one, since apart from the iron handle it is made entirely of pulsing golden light.
Squirian eat whatever is on hand, including plenty of human food. They also need a daily dose of a quartz called flintstone, without which they could not light their weapons at all. The traces of flintstone in a Squirian's system let its hands throw a spark the moment they close on an iron sword hilt, setting the blade alight.
With training, Squirian can switch their blades on and off at will, which makes the swords easy to store. The most skilled use that sword to cut a portal into the air and teleport, which matters when one is called urgently to defend a village too far away to reach any other way.
