Wiki:General disclaimer

From Creopedia

Creopedia is the official wiki for the EvoCreo franchise, published by Ilmfinity Studios LLC. This page sets out the limits of what it is, who owns what is on it, and how to raise a problem with us.

Accuracy, completeness and currency

We write the Creopedia carefully, and much of it is generated straight from the games' own data, but it is provided as is. We do not warrant that any article is accurate, complete or current, and nothing here is a guarantee about how the games behave. Treat it as reference material, not as a commitment.

Games change, documentation lags

EvoCreo and EvoCreo 2 are updated regularly. Stats get balanced, prices move, encounters are retuned, content is added. There is always a gap between a patch landing and the affected articles being rebuilt, and on some pages that gap is longer than others. An article may therefore describe a version of the game that is no longer the one you are playing.

The game is the authority

If Creopedia and the game disagree, the game is right. In-game text, in-game behaviour and the current build take precedence over anything written here. This wiki documents the games. It does not define them and cannot override them.

Found a disagreement? Tell us at [email protected] or message us on Discord.

Ownership

EvoCreo, EvoCreo 2, the EvoCreo name and logos, the Creo, the characters, artwork, music, written content, game data, and the worlds of Zenith and Shoru are owned by Ilmfinity Studios LLC and protected by copyright and trademark law. Publishing them here does not place them in the public domain and waives nothing. All rights not expressly granted below are reserved.

What you may do with this material

You are welcome to:

  • read, bookmark and link to any page here, and link to us from anywhere;
  • quote short passages in reviews, guides, videos and articles, with credit to Creopedia and a link back to the page;
  • use the wiki as a reference while you play, stream or make videos about our games.

Please do not:

  • republish articles wholesale, or mirror or scrape the site;
  • use EvoCreo artwork, logos, music or other assets commercially, or in any way suggesting we endorse or are involved in what you have made;
  • present material from here as your own work, or alter it and pass the result off as ours.

Want to do something outside this? Ask at [email protected] and we will give you a straight answer.

Rights held by others

Some material connected with the games is licensed to us rather than owned by us, music being the usual case. The permission above does not extend to it, and those rights stay with the people who hold them.

Reporting copyright infringement

If you believe material on Creopedia infringes a copyright you own or represent, tell our designated agent. This section covers material published on this wiki and nothing else.

Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, your notice must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. The copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
  3. The material you say infringes it, with enough detail for us to find it. A page URL is best.
  4. Your address, telephone number and email address.
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that your information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for them.

Send it to our designated agent:

Copyright Agent, Ilmfinity Studios LLC
7234 W North Ave Ste 208, Chicago, IL 60707, USA
[email protected]

We may remove or disable access to material while we assess a notice.

Counter-notices

If we removed something of yours and you believe that was a mistake, send a counter-notice to the same agent. It must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. The material that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address and telephone number; your consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the district where you live, or any district in which we may be found if you are outside the United States; and your agreement to accept service of process from whoever sent the original notice.

On a valid counter-notice we may restore the material, on the timetable the DMCA sets out, unless the complainant files a court action first. Notices sent for an improper purpose carry consequences under the DMCA, including liability for damages, so be sure before sending one.

Spoilers

Creopedia is a reference work, so it says what happens. Story articles describe the story, character articles say what becomes of people, and location articles list what is waiting there. Assume any page can spoil the game for you. There are no spoiler warnings on individual articles.

External links

Creopedia links out to a small number of places we run, including our Discord server and the EvoCreo and Ilmfinity websites. Following any link takes you off this wiki, and the terms and privacy policy of wherever you land apply from that point. We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their content or practices.

No professional advice

Nothing on Creopedia is legal, financial, medical or other professional advice, and none of it should be relied on as such.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Ilmfinity Studios LLC is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, anything published on Creopedia, including any error, omission, outdated statement or interruption of the site. You use the wiki at your own discretion. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

This page and any dispute about Creopedia are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
