Trail 61 is a trail in the Barkan Region. To the west is Trail 60, to
the south-west is Barkan City, and the Hall of Magma opens off its northern end. The
location features in EvoCreo 2.

Trail 61 climbs the volcano above Barkan City, through ash and past lava flows that the
locals tap to power their buildings. Torch volunteers work the path to guide travellers
safely along it, and one of them admits to picking fights out of boredom between shifts. The
Free Cognito headquarters is hidden partway up, chosen for being secluded, and its
members hold the approach: Victoria refuses to let the player past on the grounds that their
work is too important, and notes the irony of using creo to stop intruders when their aim is
to set all creo free. Three Ascendant creo live on the trail, Gulosol, Pyrus and
Vulpesol, more than on any other map in the base game.
