As its name hints, Furnis is a Fire-type creo that lives only in hot regions where the average temperature stays above 40°C.

Furnis is easy to track and hard to catch, which is the essential problem it poses to anyone who goes looking for one.

Biology

Furnis' ash-gray muzzle and chest contrast sharply with the flaming red fur covering the rest of it, and its tail is a plume of orange flame.

The fur Furnis sheds bursts into flame and then smolders for up to an hour, leaving a trail that is easy to follow. Catching up to Furnis is another matter, since it covers ground fast in great leaps and bounds.

Furnis is a fearsome predator. Contrary to what you might expect, its coloring is an asset rather than a liability on a night hunt, precisely because it is so blindingly bright. Combined with extreme speed, it completely disorients and mesmerizes prey. Some groggy creo may take it for the sun rising at the wrong hour and stare until it is too late.

Furnis is one carnivore that prefers its meal well done. It usually chars whatever it catches with a blast of heat from its tail before eating it.
