Obsius is an Earth and Dark-type Creo that thrives in a world of lava, ash, and toxic gas.

Obsius looks like a cuddly ball of gray fur, but is actually highly touchy and territorial. No one in their right mind approaches Obsius.

Most Creo never venture close enough to provoke it into its putrid display because of how harsh and unforgiving its habitat is.

Biology

Obsius can convert sulfuric gases from its surroundings into a foul-smelling vapor that it can spray at will, both defensively and offensively.

Obsius is built for volcanic terrain: its respiratory system filters harmful particles out of the air that it breathes, and it knows how to take advantage of natural heating sources by using warm rocks to regulate body temperature.

Obsius is not very nimble on its stubby feet, so it relies on its ability to sense changes in air pressure and ground vibrations prior to a volcanic eruption.

Obsius feeds on microbes, fungi, and the first plants that put down their roots in rich volcanic soil after an eruption.

Having sensed an impending eruption, Obsius takes its pick from a variety of natural underground shelters, including lava tubes, caves, and vents. Even outside of these disturbances, Obsius prefers to stay in the same location for as long as possible.
