Conleon is a squat Earth and Nature-type Creo whose presence rejuvenates the soil and vegetation around it.

Human farmers and gardeners count themselves lucky if they can keep one or two Conleon around. Conleon are known for leaving behind rich fecal deposits that serve as excellent fertilizer.

Although they also eat from the plants themselves, their feeding patterns are no more destructive than a good pruning, thereby increasing yield overall. Similarly, Conleon clear away overgrown plants that block out sunlight for smaller shoots.

Biology

Conleon has overlapping leaf-shaped plates on its back, a shock of grass green fur on its forehead and chest, and a thick tail tightly furled in a spiral. Its blunt snout is surprisingly adept at burrowing into nooks and crannies at the base of large trees and other plants, while its toes are perfect for climbing trees and gripping branches.

Conleon have a taste for common pests and weeds, and they process half-decomposed organic matter into fresh compost.

Conleon are most active at dawn and dusk. During the day, they rest, half-buried in cool soil or leaf litter, with only the leafy plates on their backs and the crests on their foreheads exposed like a patch of undergrowth.

They exhibit very low levels of both aggression and fear, relying on their ability to blend in over fight or flight responses. With their own kind, they communicate through low, rumbling vocalizations and tail movements. During periods of heavy plant growth or decay, multiple Conleon may gather in the same area to rejuvenate soil and vegetation via instinctual cooperation.
