Vortibo is a Nature and Dark-type creo with long, curved, scimitar-shaped claws.

Unlike most predators, which simply tear into a carcass, Vortibo butchers its prey neatly and precisely into clean cuts of meat.

Biology

Vortibo's claws are made of a tough material much like teeth, sheathed in a hard layer of enamel and reinforced with a biomineral called goethite.

The green shock of fur on Vortibo's back helps screen the rest of its body from view while it lies in its trench.

Vortibo might make a fine two-handed swordsman, but it mainly uses those claws to scrape shallow burrows into the ground. It lies low in the trench waiting for unwitting prey to amble past, then strikes, driving the sharp points of its claws into its meal. It eats the cuts it has made over the course of several days.

Vortibo lives in thickly vegetated country dotted with bushes, dense grasses, and tangled undergrowth. Those plants give it cover and double as feeding grounds for its prey.

Description

Vortibo uses its sharp claws to dig shallow burrows. It will hide in the burrow until its prey comes close at which point it strikes.
