Babo is a Nature-type Creo that uses its pincers to latch onto its prey.

Babo is a sit-and-wait predator. It does not chase anything down. It lets the meal come to the pincers.

Biology

Babo has extremely fast reflexes, which allow it to catch many small, insectoid, winged Creo.

Interestingly, Babo has no mouth. Instead, its pincers are directly linked to its digestive system. The nutrients from captured prey are slowly broken down and absorbed by membranes lining the inside of Babo's pincers. Once the meal is fully digested, the pincers reopen for business.

Once the prey is firmly lodged in its grasp, Babo seals its pincers shut and begins to release acids and enzymes that soften up the meal prior to consumption. Even when asleep, Babo plans ahead for the next meal. All through the night, its pincers remain wide open and secrete a tantalizing scent that attracts unwitting breakfast items. Once they touch the inside membrane, the pincers clamp shut, jumpstarting Babo's nutritional intake for the day.

Babo usually stations itself inconspicuously near tree stumps where its round brown body blends into the surroundings.
