Rebas is a proud, rather uncooperative Normal-type Creo with a golden brown coat, a short rust-colored mane and fluffy ruff on its chest, and rust-colored hind legs and tail.

When angry, Rebas puffs out its chest, sticks its tail ramrod straight in the air, and bares its incisors.

Rebas are difficult to get along with, both when among their own kind and when among humans. They refuse to share their sleeping hollows and seethe with anger when they see anyone surpass them in height when climbing trees, especially their own young.

From birth, juveniles compete with their parents, and therefore aggravate them incessantly, until they are left to make their own way in the world. On the rare occasions when Rebas are bonded to humans, they resist working with other Creo as part of a team, insisting that they always be front and center in any battle.

Biology

Rebas' two incisors are sharp, despite being short, and are perfect for gnawing through logs to create private hollows for sleeping. These incisors never stop growing: if Rebas were not perpetually gnawing at wood, its incisors would be too long to manage.

Rebas stands .75 meters tall, so the trees it hollows out must have a wide enough girth to accommodate it. Rebas use their teeth in addition to their claws to provide traction while climbing.

Rebas eat just about anything that grows on a tree or lives in a tree. Their varied diet consists of moss, lichen, and mushrooms, as well as stolen bird's eggs and termite-like critters that inhabit trees as part of huge colonies.

Rebas live in thickly forested areas with plenty of fallen trees. At night, they prefer utter solitude and privacy. When awake, however, they can be quite daring and inquisitive. They scramble up tree trunks whose ridges provide ample footholds and leap from branch to branch, often covering up to ten times their body length in a single jump.
