Lesser Ultimus is a Light-type Creo and the smaller counterpart of Ultimus, with which it shares both a name and an account of its origin.

The tradition holds that this is the oldest Creo there is and the first one to speak. Whatever it has spent that time doing, the records that survive credit it with guiding other Creo through millennia rather than ruling them.

Biology

Lesser Ultimus is 7 meters tall and 800 kilograms, an upright plated Creo in gold and pale blue with a pair of long white vanes rising from its shoulders. Those vanes are rigid rather than feathered and are used for gliding descents rather than for powered flight. The plating is heaviest across the chest, forearms and tail, and the head is small in proportion to the rest of it.

For an animal of that size it is remarkably lightly built, weighing less than a Karazim 2 meters shorter. The plate is hollow-cored and the limbs are long and thin-walled, which is what makes the glide possible at all and also why the Creo is far more fragile than it looks.

Nothing is recorded about how it feeds, where it nests or how many of them there are. Every account of Lesser Ultimus is about something it said or something it decided, which leaves the ordinary questions about the animal almost entirely unanswered. It is credited with a lifespan of around two hundred years, far short of the millennia the same accounts describe it acting across.

Description

Lesser Ultimus is the oldest of creo, said to have been the first creo to speak. Its wisdom and patience has guided many creo for millennia.
