Luftdra is a Water and Air-type creo with a streamlined body built for both diving and gliding.

Luftdra's favorite pastime is leaping over boats and then corkscrewing around them in the water, sometimes throwing off a mild, harmless whirlpool. They are fiercely competitive, so thrill-seeking juveniles often perform the trick in groups, each trying to outdo the others and delighting anyone watching with streaks of exotic color.

Biology

Luftdra has a deep blue body, a white underbelly, and mottled pink-purple fins, tail, and whisker-like barbels. It can shoot through both water and air with the speed of an arrow.

Younger Luftdra are more nimble but tire faster, while older ones can hold high speeds for long stretches at the cost of less spectacular leaping.

Luftdra feed on algae blooms, uprooted plants, and the small water creatures that try to hitch a ride on boat hulls.

Free-spirited and wide-ranging, Luftdra are not tied to any particular habitat or migration route. They thrive in the wake of boats instead. The clouds of sediment that boat traffic stirs up can harm other ocean life by blocking out sunlight, so Luftdra fill an important role by swallowing that sediment, diving deep, and depositing it back on the ocean floor, which clears the water and restores the balance.

Luftdra travel in small bands sorted by age, so that everyone in a band can keep the same pace and pull off the same maneuvers. They coordinate their movements as a group, but they also compete to see who can swim fastest or glide longest, and the results of those friendly contests set up a loose hierarchy among them.
