Signette is a Water-type creo whose feathers change color with age and diet.

Those feathers are a record of what it has been eating, so the same individual can look like a completely different creo from one year to the next.

Biology

Depending on the color of the berry a hatchling eats, its feathers gradually shift from yellow, white, and blue toward that same shade.

By the time Signette leave the nest, their beaks are tough enough to crack nuts open for the meat inside. Since they no longer eat berries in the same concentration, the pigments in their feathers often return to yellow and blue.

Signette mothers build their nests in berry bushes, and the berries become the hatchlings' first food. Once the young are old enough to leave, their diet broadens. As adolescents, Signette gravitate to small bodies of water such as ponds, where they spend a year or so paddling in the shallows and eating a variety of water plants. After mating they return to the berry bushes to build nests, lay eggs, and start the cycle again.
