Pepon is a Nature-type Creo that selflessly detoxifies its surroundings by absorbing pollutants into its own body.
If anything, Pepon's commitment to helping the environment seems to intensify over the course of its life.
Biology
Pepon's leaf-like toes function as roots, but instead of channeling nutrients, they funnel toxins and contaminants out of the soil and into Pepon's system. The stem-like protrusion on the crown of Pepon's head performs a similar process by which it purifies the air.
As if Pepon was not already doing enough for its neighbors by way of cleansing the ecosystem, it also releases large amounts of oxygen as it processes its own waste.
Remarkably, Pepon's exposure to filth and harmful substances has no negative impact on its own health or temperament. Its lifespan is 18 years.
Pepon seeks out highly contaminated environments, often near human industrial centers, and plants its leaf-like toes into the earth. Some Pepon relocate to areas that have been recently deforested or ravaged by wildfires to help restore air quality.
