Frata is a Water-type Creo that positively bulges with blubber.

Frata is as comfortable on the ice as it is in the water, and it is never in any hurry to get out of either.

Biology

Frata is the perfect natural example of what it means to dress in layers. Its outer layer of feathers is slick with an oil that repels water. Beneath its waterproof shell, Frata has layers of downy insulation that trap air and body heat. Finally, beneath its skin, Frata is well-padded with a specialized layer of fat that serves as a buffer between the Creo's warm insides and the cold outside.

This blubber maintains its protective properties at high pressures underwater. Altogether, these defenses prevent Frata from ever being chilled to the bone even after spending hours diving in the ice cold sea.

Frata obtains most of its food from the ocean. While it loves to swim, it can also traverse great distances on ice, skating with surprising agility. It also enjoys the challenge of hopping from ice floe to ice floe with a little boost from its stumpy wings.
