Valroot is a Nature-type Creo that resembles a glorified walnut sitting atop a bed of smaller walnuts.
There is a balance to be struck between enacting necessary interventions and allowing the Creo to struggle through its own metamorphosis.
Biology
Valroot's round balls rotate like dozens of wheels, allowing it a high degree of mobility in all directions. The most impregnable of fortresses, this nut can only be cracked from within.
Valroot's ideal habitat includes rich, spongy soil veined with tiny roots, plenty of green fodder, and just enough moisture for it to absorb through its pores without resulting in rot.
Valroot spend their lifetime roaming the forest floor in search of the perfect location in which to sprout. They nibble lightly on plants within reach but are usually too preoccupied with house-hunting to really fuss over what they eat.
As Valtree begins to grow, fissures appear within the shell's interior. At this vulnerable stage, any shock from the outside can lead to the shell crumbling too soon, exposing a Valtree that is not ready to face the pressures of the outside world. But a friendly nudge could also assist in this phase of transformation.
