Behaviors

A behavior is the temperament every Creo in EvoCreo 2 carries, and it decides how that creo's stats grow. Each behavior places a weight on some of the seven stats, and from level 5 onward every level up adds a couple of extra points spread across the stats it favors. There are 60 of them, arranged as twelve families of five, with each family climbing from Common to Prime and leaning harder on the same stats at each step. A behavior does nothing beyond that: unlike a trait, it has no effect of its own in battle.

Behaviors are an EvoCreo 2 feature. EvoCreo has nothing equivalent.

How a behavior is assigned

A behavior is set when the creo is first generated, so a wild creo already has one by the time it is caught. The game picks one of the twelve families at random, then rolls a tier on the same rarity scale it uses elsewhere, which makes a Common behavior far more likely than a Prime one. Nothing about the creo influences either roll, so any species can turn up with any behavior.

The bias is held back until level 5, so the first few levels of a creo's growth are the same whatever behavior it was given. After that the behavior is fixed, and the one way to change it is a Behavior Randomizer.
