Bhalites
The Bhalites are an Alphite tribe of farmers and traders, once dominant in the Prime Dimension's grasslands.
Visual
Think plantation owner types and industrialists. Bright grassy/wheat color tones. Simple weaponry.
Environment
Lived in farmland with wheat banners, in Mal Land. Primarily grassland, with small rivers and streams. Primary tribe for agricultural trading.
Specialty
Farming, trade, creo domestication/slavery.
Politics
External
Willing to trade with other tribes openly. Very capitalistic — they knew they had food as a resource other tribes lacked. Not an overly honest tribe; would hoard/own water and sell it if they could.
Internal
Council where large landowners had the most power/influence. Fiefdom-type divisions where landowners had bannermen they oversaw, including enslaved creo.
Tribe Dynamics
Most live under various fiefdoms, not nomadic — their agricultural lifestyle keeps them in a single location. They marry across fiefdoms to maintain peace, and form opportunistic alliances within the tribe and with other tribes. Bannermen use simple, primarily martial weaponry (swords, pikes, bows, shields) with no real siege weaponry. Fiefs were built in forts and small castles of simple stone masonry.
Lore
When creo were domesticated, the Bhalites sought to dominate them and used creo as slaves. A creo rebellion led to Nebu and an uprising, and the tribe was believed wiped out in the Prime Dimension by Nebu. Following the EC2 DLC, they significantly retreated; most were killed off, but a few stragglers made it to the Earth dimension and rebuilt. (Leaving open for future stories.)
